Blogmas Day 7: The Christmas Tag

I decided the Christmas Tag would be an appropriate post for today, so here it goes….

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

Oh jeez! How am I supposed to choose just one. Did you see my post about my Christmas movie collection? I guess it would be Miracle on 34th street just because it’s the one I have probably watched the most, I remember really loving it when I was younger. I’ll Be Home For Christmas is definitely a close second, I’ve lost count how many times I have watched that film.

Do you open your christmas presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?

Christmas morning of course. Although I may sneak just one little one on Christmas Eve if I can get away with it . The excitement can just get too much sometimes and waiting becomes difficult.

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

Weirdly no,  I don’t have one specific favourite Christmas memory. When you mention Christmas I just think about being younger and coming downstairs to what seemed like a room full of presents.

Favourite festive food?

Never thought I would say this but it is going to have to be mince pies. Believe it or not until a few years ago I wouldn’t touch them.

 Favourite Christmas gift?

I don’t have a favourite I don’t think. Maybe the charms for my charm bracelet. My Mum and my Gran bought me these for birthdays and Christmas for a few years so they are pretty special to me.

Favourite Christmas scent?

Gingerbread, cinnamon, all those scents you would typically associate with winter and Christmas.

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Honestly no I don’t. This year I am going to do a Christmas Eve box for my family though. I know they are usually for kids but I am making one anyway. Maybe it will catch on.

What tops your tree?

A star, everytime. I have a thing about stars.

As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

I don’t think there was anything I always asked for that I didn’t get. That sounds terrible doesn’t it? I was pretty spoilt and lucky, but at the same time I don’t think I asked for anything too crazy. I was never the kind of girl that wanted a pony or anything.

What is the best part of Christmas for you?

I think I still look at christmas through the child me’s eyes. I love it all. The dark chilly morning outside, whilst your all cosy inside in your christmas pjs opening your presents, the chocolate for breakfast, the christmas movies on tv or the christmas music playing. The scent of christmassy candles burning or the christmas dinner cooking. Getting dressed up in your Christmas outfit even though you’re not going anywhere. The look on someone’s face when they open the perfect present you bought them. The whole family coming together. I just LOVE it all.It just seems like no matter how bad a time you are having, for one day at least, everything will be OK.

Julz xx
