February

In some ways the shortest month of the year has felt like the longest. I’m so done with feeling like it is alway dark, with the crappy weather, I need some sunshine in my life now please.
In other ways though it feels like this year is just flying by. Another month gone, in which I really haven’t achieved anything.

Ok so it’s not been that bad a month but I’m still no closer to being where I want to be yet,  I just have to try and be positive I guess. Good things come to those who wait and all that.

So what have I been up to this month?

I finally got around to reading Zoe Sugg’s Girl Online 3, I know I  know, I am probably too old to be reading these books they are definitely aimed more at the teen market. I really like them though, they are easy reading and the sort of books that you can’t put down. I have always loved to read but my concentration these days makes it difficult.

I spend a lot of time online and something that has interested me for a while is coding. I have looked at it in the past and my reaction was basically wtf? So in February I decided to learn a little more about it, start teaching myself I guess. I am at the very basics stage at the moment but I’m really enjoying learning about it and how actually most of it is not as complicated as it first appears.

I got to dress up all fancy this month, for an awards night, in Glasgow with my work. It was really nice to get away for a night and just have a bit of fun. As you can see from the featured image I made a right old mess getting ready! Don’t worry the cats weren’t home alone, mum was the cat sitter, haha.

My house still hasn’t sold unfortunately but we are making progress in that someone finally viewed it! Yes then! I’m hoping as we come into the spring there will be more buyers out there and hopefully I will have some luck selling it. In the meantime I am having clear out after clear out trying to get organised for the day I can move.

Ok time for a couple of new things that I have been liking this month.

I have always been quite a sentimental person I like to keep a memory box, in the past I have tried keeping diaries, but I’m rubbish at it. A while ago I spotted this one-line-a-day 5 year memory book and though it was a great idea, so this month I finally got around to purchasing one for myself. So far every day since I got it has an entry! Go me! I just think it will be nice to look back on, a lot has to change in 5 years right?

I also subscribed to a new beauty box this month, I’m trying out the Look Fantastic box. February’s box was pretty good. I haven’t done a post on it because it was quite late in the  month I got it but March’s box arrived yesterday so look out for a post on that 🙂

So yeah, not too bad a month right?
How was February for you?

Julz xx
